Our cats never took to scratching posts, and we tried several deterrent products without success. As a result, our furniture and carpet always paid the price.  I was amazed at how cooperative my cats are when I apply Soft Claws. They were not hard to put on and once they had been on a few minutes, my cats do not seem to mind. I noticed they still wanted to scratch, but now they do not damage my furniture! And, when I hold them, they no longer accidentally scratch me.
